A light box is a sealed cabinet with an illuminated face, either flush against the building or projecting from it as a blade sign. LEDs run around the inside so the whole face glows evenly rather than showing hot spots, and the face is a printed or vinyl-applied translucent panel. It is the most economical way to get a large, bright, legible sign, and the face can be reprinted years later without touching the cabinet.
What you get
- One cabinet, one face — the lowest cost per square foot of any lit sign
- LEDs rated for 50,000 to 100,000 hours, so relamping is not a yearly job
- Faces are replaceable: a rebrand means a new panel, not a new sign
- Blade mounting puts the name out across the footpath where people are walking
- Double sided as standard on blade signs, so it reads from both directions
Where it works best
Plazas, pharmacies, clinics and anywhere the frontage is seen from an angle rather than head on.
